About Elizabeth Sawyers, OTR
Dedicated to helping children reach their full potential through compassionate, evidence-based occupational therapy
Elizabeth (Liz) A. Sawyers
Liz brings a wealth of experience and genuine passion to pediatric occupational therapy. With specialized training in sensory integration and autism spectrum disorders, she has dedicated her career to helping children develop the skills they need to thrive in daily life.
Her approach combines evidence-based interventions with a deep understanding of each child's unique strengths, challenges, and interests. Liz believes that therapy should be engaging and meaningful, using play as a powerful tool for learning and development.
Working at the Raphael Springs Academy OT Gym, Liz creates individualized treatment plans that address everything from sensory processing and fine motor skills to handwriting and social participation. She partners closely with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure that therapeutic gains translate to real-world success.
Therapeutic Philosophy
"Every child has unique gifts and potential. My role is to help them discover their strengths and overcome challenges through meaningful, joyful experiences."
Liz's therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that children learn best when they're engaged, motivated, and having fun. She creates a warm, accepting environment where children feel safe to explore, take risks, and celebrate their achievements—no matter how small.
